The extended edition on Steam came with all four.įall of the Trident is the main campaign and honestly the meat and potatoes of the game. It doesn't remake the wheel, but the gameplay holds up and it is fun.įor me a lot of this game came down the campaigns as the extended edition has the original main campaign "Fall of the Trident", the smaller side campaign that was originally DLC "The Golden Gift", the first expansion campaign "The Titans" and the much later second expansion "Tale of the Dragon". The game play is pretty much a copy of Age of Empires gameplay but with a more mythological spin introducing myth units and heroes along with adding favor from the gods to spawn myth units. I had originally played the game as a kid, my first computer game(it took us a year or two to get a computer to actually run it after I bought it) and it still holds up. Later expansions added Atlanteans and Chinese mythologies. It is a spinoff of the Age of Empires series adding the different mythologies of the Greeks, Egyptians and Norse originally.
